Why isn't my car charging fully?

Check your settings in the car to make sure you haven't limited how much you want to charge and that you have entered the correct departure time. Once the departure time has passed, we will stop charging your car. If you have specified how many kWh you want to charge, the charging will end after that. Keep in mind that not all energy goes towards charging the battery, some is lost for example due to losses in cables and heating of the battery.

In the app, a power output is shown on the charger, for example 11kW. This is a best-case scenario.
Usually, the charging boxes are connected to a load balancing system. This means that all charging points on site share a fixed amount of power. As a consequence of this, the charging power may vary during the session. It may also be the case that too many people are requesting charging at the same time, in which case you are placed in a queue and charging starts when power becomes available.

The charging time is affected by the battery size, the car's onboard charger and available power.

Below is an example of charging times with alternating current (AC):
Common hybrid cars have a battery of approximately 11-12kWh. If charging can be done at 3.7kW (16A single-phase), the battery will be fully charged in approximately 3 hours.
A pure electric car typically has approximately 70kWh battery.
If charging can be done at 11kW (16A three-phase), the battery will be fully charged in approximately 6.5 hours.
