ChargeNode offers three different types of areas to meet various needs for accessibility and administration: Private, Semi-public and Public and can be activated depending on which charging service level you have chosen.
Each type of area has unique characteristics regarding who is allowed to charge, how the area appears in map services and how much administration is required. This gives administrators the ability to tailor charging solutions depending on whether they want to restrict charging to specific members or make it available to everyone. Private area
Access: Only registered email addresses on the area have the right to charge.
Administration: As an administrator, you are responsible for adding and removing users who have the right to charge in the area. This is done through member management.
Visibility: The area is only visible to registered members. It will not appear in any map services or apps for the general public.
Semi-public area
Access: Anyone can start charging with ChargeNode's app, an RFID tag registered in the app, or via a business account.
Administration: No need to manage a member list – administration is minimal since anyone can charge, but private parking spaces often remain practically inaccessible to the general public.
Visibility: The area does not appear in public map services such as Chargefinder or NOBIL. However, the area is visible in ChargeNode's app for users who are in the vicinity.
Extra features: You can still create member groups to give specific users discounts on charging.
Public area
Access: Same accessibility as for semi-public areas – anyone can charge via app, RFID tag or business account.
Administration: Just like semi-public, administration is minimal. You can also create member groups here to give discounts to specific users.
Visibility: The area is published in public map services such as Chargefinder and NOBIL. These services update in real time with information about the area's name, availability, location and price per kWh.
Extra features: All information about the charging station's status and costs is updated in real time for users via public platforms.
Summary
Private area: Restricted charging rights to registered members, hidden from the public.
Semi-public area: Open charging for everyone via app/RFID without appearing in public maps, minimal administration, popular for associations.
Public area: Open charging for everyone with full visibility in public map services and minimal administration.
